1st step: Open Houses
Both of our campuses host Open Houses approximately once a month during the regular school year. These events are designed for families of young children who would be eligible for enrollment the following year and beyond. This event will provide you with an insightful look to our school's philosophy and a tour of our facilities.
In order to participate in one of our Open Houses, you may contact either of the campuses directly or via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

*Please complete and return the
2012_Application for Admission prior to attending the Open House.
2nd Step: Family Interview
This is a chance for parents to meet our Executive Director and converse about a wide range of topics related to your child's education at Intercultural Montessori Language School.
*Please submit the $50 application fee and the Family Questionnaire at least one week prior to your family interview.
3rd Step: Child Observation
This step usually takes place after the child is 2 1/2 years of age and before March 1st of the year preceding the desired enrollment date. The observation lasts approximately one hour and gives the observing teacher a chance to assess the child for placement in the program. It also gives the child an opportunity to become familiar with the Montessori classroom environment and to envision life within a dynamic community of mixed age students.
After the admissions process is complete, eligible children will be placed in the admissions waiting pool until the spring lottery conducted in February and March.
Intercultural has rolling admissions, so there is no application deadline. However, admissions are all subject to availability, and it is strongly suggested that you complete the admissions process no later than the March prior to your desired enrollment date so as to be in the waiting pool when the lottery begins. This is especially important for the Chicago Spanish and Chinese programs, which are very competitive.
