Our Oak Park Montessori Campus serves students from age 2 to 6 with immersion programs in Chinese Mandarin & Spanish. We are Intercultural!
Our dual language Montessori program enables children to learn a second language by being immersed in the language and culture. Our community is multicultural and our teachers and staff come from across the globe. We come from a variety of different backgrounds and our sense of community exists because of it.
The campus is located in the heart of Oak Park at 301 S Ridgeland Avenue. The facility has 4 large classrooms, a multi-purpose room, a beautiful outside playground and a lively garden area.
Our teachers speak their native language with students while following the Montessori curriculum. We have two Spanish classes and one Chinese classroom in Oak Park.
We have 4 classroom communities: Frida Kahlo (Spanish), El Jardincito (Spanish), Fu Wa (Chinese), and Little Apples (2 year-old Program).
The school day is from 8am until 12:30pm for half day students and 3pm for full day students. Extended Day programming is available until 5:30pm. Intercultural hosts a wide variety of extra curricular activities that take place during Extended Day. Previous activities have included yoga, chess, dance, soccer, robotics, and private music lessons.
Each morning the Intercultural minibus departs the Oak Park campus to bring Elementary students to the Chicago campus where they continue their Intercultural journey. In the afternoon, students return to Oak Park on the minibus.
