We cordially invite you and your children to attend Oak Park’s Annual Family Meet and Greet Potluck which will be held on Tuesday, September 20th from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. This is a community building event which will provide you an opportunity to meet the teachers and other Intercultural families.
In order to make this a successful occasion, we ask that everyone make a contribution towards our potluck. As we are expecting 66 students and 132+ parents to attend this event, we are asking that your dish feeds at least 8-10 people.
If you have any specialty dishes, please feel free to bring them to our potluck. Please note we are a NUT-FREE school. Otherwise, we are making the following suggestions based on the first initial of your family last name:
Last name starting with A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H:
Main Dish (chicken, beef, casseroles, pasta/lasagna, vegetarian dishes, etc).
Last name starting with I,J,K, L,M,N,O,P,Q,R:
Side Dish/Appetizer (salads, veggie plates, fruit plates, cheese & salami platters, chips and dips, rice dishes, bread rolls, etc).
The school will not provide child care for this event, however we will have the playground open for students and parents to socialize. Again, this is an opportunity for you to meet and chat with other parents as well as have a more personal conversation with teachers.
