Sor Juana is a Spanish/English primary class at intercultural montessori Oak Park campus. It is named after Sister Juana Inés de la Cruz, O.S.H., who was a self-taught scholar and poet of the Baroque school, and Hieronymite nun of New Spain.
Brenda Moctezuma Lead Teacher, Spanish
Ms. Brenda Moctezuma has been at Intercultural since 2011. She has a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and is currently completing her Montessori certification for students aged 3-6 years. Ms. Brenda has over 10 years’ experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. Prior to taking the position of Lead Teacher Ms. Brenda worked as Ms. Elizabeth’s Assistant teacher in Intercultural’s Los Hijos del Sol Classroom Community, before making the decision to become Montessori certified. She has become deeply devoted to the Montessori Method of education and will ensure that her classroom provides a nurturing environment which will inspire her students to learn.
Rosalva Rosado Assistant Teacher, Spanish
Ms. Rosie Rosado is originally from Veracruz, Mexico. She started at Intercultural in 2010 when she began as an Extended Day teacher at the Chicago Campus before joining the Oak Park Campus to take up the role of an assistant teacher. Rosie has started working towards her Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education. On completion of the Degree she will be taking her training for Montessori Teacher Certification for students aged 3 - 6 years. Rosie is dedicated, calm and loving towards her students. As her own 3 children are growing up she is now able to devote more time to her lifelong goal of becoming a teacher.
