Intercultural Montessori Language School is a unique school that embraces learning and celebrates cultures. We use the internationally recognized Montessori method to educate students from age 2 through the 8th grade level. Intercultural is a vibrant learning community and a relatively young school, established in 2005.
Intercultural prides itself on a strong worldview; our dual-language school provides families the option for their children to learn in English and one of three other languages: Japanese, Spanish or Chinese Mandarin.
This non-profit organization started in Oak Park, Illinois and expanded to Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood in 2009. Since then, the school has grown, adding a Middle School in 2017. In 2020, the school started a program for two-year-old children that is licensed by DCFS.
I am proud to see the additional programs and growth of the school in recent years. More importantly, I am pleased with the recent accomplishment of Intercultural becoming an accredited school by the American Montessori Society in 2020.
We encourage you to take a tour of our school so that you can appreciate our diverse student population, our talented multicultural staff, robust academics and our passion for providing a unique and exceptional educational experience. Intercultural is supported by a strong and dedicated community; our work is not possible without the commitment of our teachers and staff, our students, the parent community, and our Board of Directors.
We welcome you to this one-of-a-kind school where we are developing Global Citizens of the world…
