We are happy to announce that, once again, the Elementary students from Intercultural Chicago Campus will be visitng Brookfield Zoo on Thursday, January 16, 2014. The bus will leave promptly at 8:45 so please have your child at school no later than 8:30 am. Children will NOT be eating lunch at the zoo and will return to school no later than 12:30 pm.
Please sign and submit the permission slip by Wednesday, January 15, 2014 (even if you plan on chaperoning).
First, we will meet with the zoo staff keepers assigned to the Red-Kneed Tarantula and the Chinese Crocodile Lizard. After visiting with the zoo keepers, three instructors will be available to enlighten the students on facts concerning the last 3 of our 6 adopted animals. Students will be touring the zoo in small groups to visit the Red-Kneed Tarantula, the Chinese Crocodile Lizard, and The Roadrunner.
Zoo location of Intercultural’s adopted animals:
- Harry – the Red-Kneed Tarantula (found at Hamill Family Play Zoo)
- Lang Chong – the Chinese Crocodile Lizard (found at Feathers and Scales)
- Subayai – the Roadrunner (found at Feathers & Scales)
