Toddlers
Our Approach to Early Learning
Our Toddler Program at Intercultural embraces the Montessori philosophy, fostering independence and laying the foundation for a child’s academic future. Designed for children aged 15 months to 3 years, this program offers a nurturing, language-rich environment where toddlers are introduced to new languages and cultures through music, creative activities, and conversations with teachers.
While the Toddler Program is not a dual language program, children are exposed to our target languages throughout their daily routines. This helps to lay the groundwork for language acquisition, promoting an early understanding and appreciation of different cultures.
The Toddler Program focuses on fostering a child’s natural curiosity while promoting the development of essential life skills such as independence, self-confidence, and social interaction. At this stage, we create a space that supports exploration, sensory experiences, and hands-on learning. Our Montessori environment encourages children to interact with thoughtfully prepared materials that stimulate cognitive, motor, and language development.
Children in this program learn through experiences that spark their imaginations, supporting both their academic and emotional growth. We provide a gentle introduction to school routines while allowing them the freedom to explore at their own pace, fostering independence and confidence. This prepares them for an easy transition into our Early Childhood Program once they turn 3 years old and are toileting independently, ensuring a smooth progression in their educational journey.
